About
In my 2012 journal when I first began thinking about this 2-year road trip I didn’t believe in serendipity or synchronicity. I didn’t believe in miracles. We want to claim coherence of what we see and experience— we seek patterns and if we don’t find them, we make them up and embed them in our personal stories like little gems we can attach to a string, hang them around our neck and admire as our truth. We pretend it all fits together. If we try to assign meaning to some event it can blind us to what’s really happening—change is constant but random. Or is it?
I don’t believe that anymore. Today in 2025 as I’m rewriting these stories, I’ve had a unique experience. The last three years changed everything. I’ve had strangely meaningful synchronicity, serendipity and even a miracle I’m still trying to understand.
I didn’t realize all this until I woke up one morning after a trip I’d made to Munich, Germany. It was early September 2024, and I had just flown six thousand miles to attend a music festival called Superbloom specifically to see one singer-songwriter named Louis Tomlinson. It was then all my life coincidences began to fall into place.

I wandered around my house that morning pacing, trying to make sense of the flood of information that came to me, and I realized what I was doing right now that day had begun many decades ago. And although there were deviations on the path that were seemingly meaningless the bulk of the travel, one after the other has that opened and led me to be where I was today doing exactly what I always wanted to do. But there were dues to pay. I was a single mother most of my life. I had bills to pay. But looking back I can see that path and all its changes and coincidental events become a shape that made sense.
But that’s another chapter and probably another book. This Book is about the two-year road trip I made around the US. I did it alone by choice because I knew that solitude is a backdrop of transformation. Not everyone can do it alone, but I preferred it that way. So here is the how and the details that I can remember and how it worked out in the end.
If you are thinking about making a big change this is for you. If not exactly this then something similar. And I don’t think you need to be gone for two years. Whatever you are thinking means you might be seeing a path opening that will change everything.
There are no coincidences. Although I now believe there are no coincidences, that doesn’t mean you don’t misinterpret some of them, we shouldn’t ignore them. It’s a message to believe in yourself in your own intuition.
